Video: The Broken Boomerang

Merry Christmas! First of all, to everyone.

I guess this is going to be my Christmas video for this year. Next year, I will be more prepared. I promise. I'm hitting a lot of dead ends in my Moses claymation, and it looks like the final result won't be out until early next year.

I'm pretty proud of this one because it's my first attempt at animating something in mid-air and I composed the music. It went pretty well. Take a look at it first.

What I did was I got 2 miniature tripods and taped them onto some books for some extra height. A regular piece of string was tied between them.

Then a 3 lb fishing line was tied to the clay boomerang to suspend it in the air. Using a clip I could adjust the height of the boomerang on the string.

The metal lamp in the background was used to hide the shadow of the string because a chandelier was hanging directly above my set.

This is the set without the use of the lamp. You can see a slight shadow.

With the lamp.

It's very amateur, but as long as it looks eh...pretty good, I don't need to purchase softwares online. So give me some feedback on what you think.

Have a blessed Christmas!

Video: Obadiah & the Teleporting Button

It's been a while since my last claymation video and since I've started working on my Moses one, I haven't had much time to work on new ones. I was actually planning to introduce Obadiah in this video, but I was having editing problems. I took me almost 3 months to finally figure things out.

Obadiah finds a red button which teleports you to a random place whenever pressed. His curiosity creates the rest of the story.

Update: Working on new Bible claymation

I've decided that it's about time I make a claymation "movie" because I'm pretty tired of making 10 second films. This claymation will be based on the story of the Israelites escaping Egypt (as mentioned in the book of Exodus). All the Lodos will be in this film, Mik starring Moses.

Here are some snapshots I took of my cast of clay characters.

This guy right here with the pointy blue hat wil be Pharoah. Yeah. doesn't look like much of a Pharoah, I know....

As of right now, I have about 10 or 15 seconds of the movie done. I am not sure how long it will be in the final result, but I am hoping AT LEAST one minute. Ok, till next time...

Video: Meet the Lodos

Okay everyone, there has been a change in plan. After thinking it over more, I've decided to rename my small group of characters "The Lodos".

The new addition (the redhead kid with orange skin) has been named Obadiah. I was in the process of making a Claymation just starring him, but some things went wrong. Hopefully that one can come out soon.

Video: The Red Ball meets Quadopus

All the characters that are in my videos so far are part of a group I call "The Pistachios". That includes the alien which I named Mik, the alien dog who I named Lachi, the Red Ball, the Quadopus, and a new character who will be revealed soon.

So I figured it would be interesting if I had every character meet the other ones. Here the Red Ball meets the Quadopus for the first time.

Video: The Red Ball 2

This is a sequel to "The Red Ball" (obviously). I couldn't of an idea for my next claymation so I figured I would make another red ball one. For some reason, creating vids with simple figures like a ball, is more interesting to me than making one with characters and a plot. But one of these days I'm going to create a longer claymation with a storyline and characters.

I hope you guys still like this one. I added a little twist at the end.

Video: Quadopus

The character is nothing creative. The truth is...I was too lazy to create eight tentacles. This video was a test to see what movements I can make it do. Now I know not to stretch the tentacles too far. LOL

Video: Dancing Aliens

The title probably made you laugh. This video is very short because I was just experimenting with a new stop motion program I got called MonkeyJam. I created the characters way before this video when I was playing around with some clay.

Video: The Red Ball

This is one of the first claymation videos I've ever created. It's about 10 seconds long and the whole thing is basically a red ball rolling around and shape shifting.
